Dear Troops:

 

I had the privilege to work with the U.S. military while making a movie about the Russian invasion of the Republic of Georgia in 2008. I learned while making the film how easily freedom can be taken away.

 

I wish I could more fully express the gratitude I have for what you do for our country. What you all are doing with your lives has purpose – a greater purpose – to serve and protect this nation and all the families that know freedom.

 

I love my country. I'm so grateful to have it; I'm grateful that we have you to protect it. There is no greater military then ours.

 

Thank you for your courage and commitment. And safe travels back to your home.
